Welcome! Our family purchased The Thistle Inn in May 2006. We moved from Nantucket with our 6 month old son, Jackson, to start a new chapter in our lives as owners of The Thistle Inn. Max has over 20 years of experience in fine dining and wine wholesaling. He has held positions in the Wine Marketing division of Horizon Beverage, Radius (Boston), The Wauwinet (Nantucket) and the Eiffel Tower (Las Vegas). Jen left her Boston-based software career behind and now enjoys managing the inn and spending precious time with young Jackson. Jackson is now joined by baby brother Alexander - born 10/13/2009!
We are joined by Michael Whitney, our executive chef. Michael brings the experience and passion to the kitchen that makes The Thistle Inn a special place to be. The food is inspired by local ingredients and Mike's love of cooking. The combination of our team, along with our wait staff and kitchen staff make The Thistle Inn a "must-see" while in Boothbay Harbor.
