By Car: From the south, follow I-95 North into Maine and use either Exit 44 (old 6A) or Exit 52 (old 9) to connect to I-295 North. From I-295 use either Exit 28 (old 22) through Brunswick, or Exit 31 (old 24) around Brunswick, to Route 1 North. Follow coastal Route 1 North past Bath and through the village of Wiscasset. Just after crossing the long bridge over the Sheepscot River, follow the signs to turn RIGHT on Route 27 South, "Boothbay Harbor Region".
Travel on Route 27 South about 12 miles through
Edgecomb, then Boothbay, and finally Boothbay Harbor.
Proceed straight ahead at the traffic light (Hannaford
market on right). As you enter the harbor, there is a
fork in the road (The First National Bank is in the
center of the fork), stay to the right. You are now on
Oak Street and The Thistle Inn will be on your
left.
By Air: Fly into Portland International Jet Port (about 60 miles from Boothbay Harbor); rent a car and drive or call for limo service. Private planes may fly into Wiscasset Airport, rental cars and taxi service are available.
